SmartVault for QuickBooks Online Wins Technology Innovation Award
Innovative integration with QuickBooks® Online earns SmartVault coveted CPA Practice Advisor Technology Innovation Award
HOUSTON, TX – June 4, 2013 – SmartVault, a leading provider of SaaS online document storage and secure file sharing solutions, announced today that it was recognized for a 2013 Technology Innovation Award. SmartVault took its patented Toolbar technology for QuickBooks and extended support to QuickBooks Online. This first-of-its-kind integration enables QuickBooks Online users to attach and view source documents (such as receipts, bills, and invoices) directly from within QuickBooks Online. This powerful new functionality is why SmartVault was recognized for innovation in the 2013 line up of award winners. This is the fourth time SmartVault has been honored with an Innovation Award in the last five years.
“This year’s Innovation Award winners were all cloud-based solutions that help accounting professionals be more productive with their workflow and provide better client service,” said Isaac M. O’Bannon, editor of CPA Practice Advisor. “SmartVault was honored with an award this year because we believe that making SmartVault’s online document storage and file sharing system available for QuickBooks Online users will greatly improve workflow and the relationship between an accounting firm and its clients.”
“Our vision at SmartVault has always been to find ways to inject technology directly into applications that businesses already use in order to create more efficient workflows and ultimately increase the value of that application to the customer,” stated SmartVault founder and CEO, Eric Pulaski. “It’s the old 1+1 = 3 approach. With QuickBooks Online, customers can track and manage the financial health of their business. Couple that with the integration of SmartVault, which offers built-in online document storage for related source files that support the financial transactions, and now the business has one central repository for all financial data and related source files. By integrating these applications, customers are now audit ready, have anytime-anywhere access to financial documents, and have an offsite backup of all documents. And they get all this at a very low cost and with virtually no learning curve. It’s incredibly exciting for us to see this vision become a reality for thousands of customers and an honor to be recognized by CPA Practice Advisor for our efforts. It’s a huge win for the entire SmartVault team.”
Each year, five Innovation Award winners are recognized based on judging by the Awards Committee, which is comprised of the editorial staff at CPA Practice Advisor, thought leaders among the profession, and the publication’s Editorial Advisory Board. Awards winners were honored at a special ceremony hosted by the magazine’s Executive Editor, Darren Root, and held during the California Accounting and Business Show & Conference that ran June 3-4, 2013.
SmartVault for QuickBooks Online is available to all QuickBooks Online customers as a free trial from the Intuit AppCenter. At the end of the trial, a user will pay just $9/month for unlimited storage of their files.
