SmartVault Wins Technology Innovation Award Honorable Mention

Innovative Integration with Outlook earns SmartVault well-deserved recognition with CPA Practice Advisor

Los Angeles, CA – June 5, 2012 – SmartVault, a leading provider of SaaS document storage and sharing solutions, announced today that it earned an honorable mention for the 2012 CPA Practice Advisor’s Innovation Awards. The company was recognized for the SmartVault Plug-in for Microsoft Outlook. With the plug-in, users can leverage the ease and convenience of email, integrated with SmartVault’s secure, compliant solution for managing and sharing documents.

The Plug-in for Outlook offers business users and accounting professionals an integrated solution for sending, receiving, and managing documents securely inside of Outlook—without having to change the way they work. The SmartVault Plug-in creates secure links for sending files and embeds them in email messages, instead of attaching documents to emails. With the plug-in, accounting professionals can use email to share files securely and remain in compliance with federal Internal Revenue Code regulations and state privacy laws. The use of links also makes it easy to share large files without the use of a separate FTP service.

“We couldn’t be more honored about the win,” said Eric Pulaski, founder and CEO of SmartVault. “We remain focused on integrations that have a positive, game changing effect on workflow efficiency and make the accounting professional’s working life easier. The Innovation Award recognition is evidence of this commitment.”

CPA Practice Advisor’s annual Technology Innovation Awards are the pinnacle of recognition for technology vendors serving the tax and accounting profession. Awards winners were honored at a special ceremony hosted by the magazine’s Executive Editor, Darren Root. The ceremony was held during the California Accounting and Business Show & Conference, running June 4-5, 2012.
