Security Warning: You have requested an encrypted page that contains some unencrypted information
Symptom
The security warning You have requested an encrypted page that contains some unencrypted information. Information that you see or enter on this page could easily be read by a third party displays when you sign in to the SmartVault client portal.
Cause
This security warning typically displays when you use Mozilla Firefox version 3.0 or version 3.5 as your browser and you have the following Warning Messages settings selected:
- I am about to view a page that uses low-grade encryption.
- I’m about to view an encrypted page that contains some unencrypted information.
Note: To view these setting in Mozilla Firefox, on the Tools menu, click Options. On the Options dialog box, click Security, and then in the Warning Messages area, click Settings.
Resolution
All pages on the SmartVault portal are secure.
- All pages use the secure
https://protocol. - All pages are encrypted using high-grade encryption.
- Pages do not contain any unencrypted information.
However, some SmartVault users using Mozilla Firefox version 3.0 or version 3.5 have reported seeing this error message when they sign in to the SmartVault client portal.
To resolve this issue:
- Upgrade your browser from Mozilla Firefox version 3.0 or version 3.5 to Mozilla Firefox version 4.0.
