All We Want for Christmas is Your Feedback
As a SaaS company, we work hard around the clock to make sure that at the end of each month, our customers renew their subscriptions. If they don’t, we lose money, and that’s no bueno. The best way we know to do this, is to seek out your feedback, listen to what you like and don’t like about our service, and use that feedback to shape our product roadmap .
Sometimes people forget that we aren’t psychic (though some of us are obsessed with the Long Island Medium). We’re just regular people, trying to build apps that our customers love. We don’t always know what features you like, what features are missing, or what features could use some work. So we need you to tell us.
I’ll be honest – for the most part, it’s like pulling teeth to get some feedback from our customers. We call for comments on our blogs, Facebook, Twitter, newsletter, and through surveys on a regular basis. But unless we offer some sort of monetary incentive, we rarely get much response. I know the reason is that our customers are busy running their businesses, and in the grand scheme of things, chatting with me about what’s cool in SmartVault probably isn’t at the top of the priority list. And I get that. But I’m going to make a case for why it’s important.
We mean it when we say that we are working to re-earn your business every month, and that every day we try to make the service work better for you. But if we don’t know what you need, it’s that much harder for us to deliver on that promise. When you tell us what you want/need, it helps us make decisions that do more than benefit our business – it could revolutionize your workflow, and make your day a helluva a lot better. We are building this service in partnership with our customers – your job is to tell us what you want, our job is to figure out how to make it happen.
In all seriousness, if you have 5 minutes this week to take our short survey, we’d love to know what we can do to make SmartVault work harder for you.
